J.J. Timmons grew up in Montclair, N.J. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A. in 1992. In 2000, he obtained his law degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.

J.J. began practicing with a large insurance defense firm, working in the areas of general liability litigation and workers' compensation.

In 2009, J.J. had a change of heart and realized that his true calling was to fight for injured individuals, and he has done so since, representing people and their families in both workers' compensation and personal injury cases.

When he is not practicing law, J.J. enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, cooking, and going to concerts.
